Why I Went Plant-Based

Hey friend, I’m so glad you’re here! Pull up a chair, grab something warm to sip, and let’s chat.
I get asked all the time why I decided to go plant-based. Honestly, it wasn’t about chasing the latest health trendit was about finally getting tired of how I felt. I was dealing with constant aches, nagging pains, and health issues that left my body feeling completely out of whack. My energy was low, and everyday life felt harder than it should. One evening, my husband showed me The Game Changers, a documentary on Netflix. I watched, I listened, and something just clicked. After dealing with all those health struggles, I decided right then and there to make a change. That was the day I gave up meat cold turkey. And that was four years ago. Looking back, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. I’ve watched health issues disappear, aches and pains ease up, and my overall energy and well-being improve in ways I didn’t think were possible. Now, don’t get me wrong this lifestyle isn’t for everyone, and I know that. But personally, it’s been working for me. Not everyone in my house is plant-based, but the shift I made has led our whole family to eat healthier overall. More veggies, more whole foods, less processed stuff. It’s been a ripple effect, and I love that. For me, plant-based living has been about more than just food. It’s been about healing, balance, and listening to what my body truly needs. So if you’ve ever thought about trying more plant-based meals, my advice is simple: start where you are, try new things, and notice how your body responds. Even small changes can make a big difference.
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
With love and gratitude, always
