Answered Prayers (and Unanswered Ones Too)

Hey friend,

Prayer is one of the most powerful gifts God gives us. It’s our direct line to Him, our chance to pour out our hearts, and our way of inviting His will into our lives. But if we’re honest, prayer can also be confusing. Some prayers are answered quickly, others take years, and some seem to get a “no.” I’ve learned that every prayer gets an answer it just might not be the one we expected. Sometimes it’s yes, sometimes it’s no, and sometimes it’s wait. And while “yes” feels amazing, the “no” and “wait” answers often shape us the most. The Bible reminds us, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us” (1 John 5:14, NIV). He hears every prayer not one is wasted. His answers are always filtered through His love and wisdom. Looking back, there are times I prayed for things I thought I needed, only to realize later that God’s “no” was actually His protection. And those seasons of waiting? They stretched me, grew my faith, and taught me patience. When the answer doesn’t look like what I hoped for, I hold onto this promise: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV). God sees the bigger picture, and His plans are always for our good, even when they don’t match our timeline. Friend, whether you’re holding a yes, sitting in a wait, or wrestling with a no, remember this God is good in all three. He is faithful, and He is working for your good even when you can’t see it.

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” Psalm 145:18 (NIV)

With love and gratitude, always

Kevi
