The Heartwork of Motherhood

Hey friend, I’m so glad you’re here. Pull up a chair, grab something warm to sip, and let’s chat.
Motherhood has stretched me in ways I never expected. It’s more than diapers, schedules, or making sure everyone is fed. Being a mom is heartwork it’s pouring love, patience, and wisdom into little lives while trusting God to fill in the gaps I can’t cover on my own. There are days when I feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, and unsure if I’m doing enough. But then come the moments that make it all worth it seeing my children show love to others the way it has been shown to them, watching them discover something new, or holding them close after a hard day. Those glimpses remind me that motherhood is both messy and holy. I’ve learned that being a mom isn’t about perfection it’s about presence. My kids don’t need me to have all the answers; they need me to show up with love and consistency. They need to see me live out my faith, not just talk about it. They need to know that even when I make mistakes, I’ll ask for forgiveness and keep trying. The Bible reminds us of God’s own tender care: “He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart” (Isaiah 40:11, NIV). That’s the picture of motherhood I hold onto a love that carries, comforts, and stays near. Motherhood is exhausting and life giving, refining and rewarding, all at the same time. And though the days can feel long, the years are short. My prayer is that the seeds I plant today will grow into a harvest of faith, character, and love in their lives tomorrow.
“He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart.” Isaiah 40:11 (NIV)
With love and gratitude, always
Kevi
